Fins to Feathers Outfitter is proud to partner with Nick Karakis, owner of Wine Lake Camp on Route Lake near Perrault Falls, Ontario, to offer a truly one-of-a-kind Canadian bear hunting experience.

Getting to Wine Lake Camp is an adventure all its own. Tucked deep within the solitude of the Canadian wilderness, Wine Lake Camp is accessible only by boat—making the journey to camp an unforgettable part of the experience.

Hunters are picked up and begin their 25-mile journey aboard Wine Lake Camp’s 22-foot Zagfab boat. The first 18 miles take you through the incredible Canadian wilderness, surrounded by pristine water, forest, and wildlife.

At the 18-mile mark, the adventure continues with a short 50-foot portage alongside a beautiful waterfall. Guides will assist with transferring your gear into smaller boats for the final leg of the journey.

From there, you'll travel another seven miles through a remote river system surrounded by wildlife, wild rice, water lilies, and winding oxbows before arriving at your destination—Wine Lake Camp.

Wine Lake Camp offers a true Canadian wilderness experience on a private 9,000-acre island, with no other facilities for miles.

The camp features six comfortable lakefront cabins accommodating two to ten guests, each with a private bathroom, shower, and outdoor propane grill. Internet and electricity are provided through generators and solar power.

Spend your mornings fishing with camp-provided boats and motors before heading out for your afternoon bear hunt.

Guides maintain the hunting areas and ladder stands, while game cameras monitor activity at each site.
