Fins to Feathers is proud to have partnered with Nick Karakis, owner of Wine Lake Camp in Perrault Falls, Ontario, to offer this truly one-of-a-kind bear hunting experience. Getting to Wine Lake Camp is an adventure in itself. Wine Lake Camp is in the solitude of the Canadian wilderness and is a boat-in only camp. Hunters will be picked up and taken to the camp in Wine Lake Camp’s 22-foot Zagfab boat. Hunters will travel the first 18 miles of their 25 mile journey in this boat enjoying the sights and sounds of the Canadian wilderness. After 18 miles, you will need to make a 50 foot portage next to a beautiful waterfall. Guides will help transfer your gear to smaller boats for the rest of your journey. From there, you will continue 7 more miles into a river system, filled with wildlife, wild rice, lilies and winding oxbows until you reach your destination -

Wine Lake Camp.

Wine Lake Camp is “life on the edge”, the camp is the only facility for miles in either direction. The camp has 6 well maintained cabins that can sleep 2-8 people. There is a blend of turn of the century outhouses with modern conveniences. Each cabin has a screened in porch facing the lake and there is a central shower-house with hot water. Basic environmental cleaning supplies are available in each cabin. Fishing boats with engines are available for fishing in the morning before your afternoon bear hunts. Tree stands and hunting areas are properly maintained by Wine Lake Camp Guides along with game cameras to see activity at each site.
